अब 1000 करोड़ का घोटाला PMO !

नई दिल्ली। राष्ट्रमंडल खेल, 2जी स्पेक्ट्रम घोटाले के बाद एक और घपला सामने आया है। यह घोटाला प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (पीएमओ) के अधीन हैदराबाद स्थित नेशनल टेक्निकल रिसर्च ऑर्गनाइजेशन (एनटीआरओ) का है। घोटाले से सरकार को करीब 1000 करोड़ रू. की चपत लगी है।

यह संस्था सीधे प्रधानमंत्री के अधीन है और देश के की अति संवेदनशील खुफिया यूनिट है। इसका ऑडिट कराने का अधिकार किसी को नहीं है। मगर, प्रधानमंत्री की मंजूरी के बाद देश में पहली बार किसी इंटेलीजेंस एजेंसी का ऑडिट कराया गया।

Govt. Lokpal Bill versus Jan Lokpal Bill


Date: June 22, 2011
This law will have jurisdiction over 65,000 central government employees, 4.5 lakh registered NGOs, lakhs of movements (and unregistered NGOs) and no companies. 

It applies to only Group A officers of central government, but does not apply to other central government employees. It does not apply to any state government employee. However, it applies to all state and central NGOs – whether registered or not.

Minimum punishment against a corrupt person is six months. Minimum punishment against false complainant is two years.

Protest in UK against police crackdown on Ramdev

London: Hundreds of people on Sunday demonstrated in front of the British Parliament in protest against the brutal police crackdown on Ramdev at Ramlila ground in New Delhi earlier this month. 

"We, the people of Indian origin all over the world are deeply depressed, embarrassed and pained by this vulgar display of naked power," said Sunita Poddar, member of Action Against Corruption and Trustee of the Patanjali Yog Peeth (UK) Trust.

Baba Ramdev’s supporters propose demonstration on foreign soil

New Delhi, June 18: After having been chased away from Ramlila Maidan by Delhi Police, now Baba Ramdev's supporters will stage demonstration against the Indian government on foreign soil.
Sunita Poddar, member of Action Against Corruption and Trustee of the Patanjali Yog Peeth (UK) Trust said: "We, the people of Indian origin all over the world are deeply depressed, embarrassed and pained by this vulgar display of naked power. No justification of any kind can condone these vicious actions on the Indian citizens".

Delhi Police justifies crackdown on Ramdev’s supporters

Delhi Police on Friday justified in the Supreme Court its midnight crackdown on yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his supporters protesting against corruption and black money at the Ramlila Maidan here, saying permission had been given only to hold a yoga camp. 

In its affidavit filed before the court, the police said that the congregation was allowed only for yoga camp and for no other purpose.
